Fifty-four families of Amlali village of Barwani in Madhya Pradesh were rehabilitated in 2011. But none of these families have been given basic facilities to ensure that they can live in comfort. These settlements have been made along hills where water can enter the houses in times of rain. There are many kinds of hardship in all the settlements. There is no water in some, no electricity in others, terrible or no roads and on goes the list. Four hundred and fifty members of these families have been suffering for years as a result of this. These people cannot go and live in their houses owing to poor rehabilitation efforts. Today these villagers are fed up of repeated government promises that go undelivered. Community Correspondent Pawan Solanki appeals to all viewers through this video to contact Paraste, the Executive Officer of Barwani in Madhya Pradesh on 9826360194 and pressurize him to take necessary steps to end the plight of these people cheated of their right to a normal life. |
