When Community Correspondent Amita Tuti was in school, the scholarship she received helped her a lot to meet the expenses of her education. Today, for her tribal community in Jharkhand, access to education remains a challenge and she is using her camera to highlight this issue. In this video she reports on the fact that students of the Tribal Welfare Children Hostels in Khunti village and Thakkarbappa village are being cheated out of the scholarship they are owed by the government. " We don't know what happens. We never get our scholarships even though we submit our applications each year", says one student. Amita has reported from the Thakarbappa Tribal hostel before, detailing its abysmal living conditions. She requests you to pick up the phone and make a difference.
