VV-PACS Community Correspondent, Satyendra from Mau district of Uttar Pradesh reports on the absence and negligence of teachers in his village.
"Some teachers come at 11’O clock while other come to school even more late", says Gyanti Devi, a para teacher at the school.
The teacher was busy reading a newspaper when 7 year old Chandan was pushed by his peers and broke his hand. When the parents came to the school to question the teacher’s negligence, they were asked to put their child in a private school for better services.
The government schools in India have a very weak accountability mechanism which leads to such incidents.
Call to Action: You can help by calling Mr. Avdhesh Narayan Singh, Block Education Officer, Ratanpura block, Mau district, Uttar Pradesh on 09451183591 and pressurize him to take action against the negligent teachers.
