Recycling Goa

VV-Correspondent Sulochana Pednekar films “The Sustainable Green Company” in Betki, Ponda, Goa.  Ajay Gramopadhyay started the company manufacturing eco-friendly, recyclable, biodegradable, products to help reduce garbage and motivate others to recycle.

He explains how, “We take waste paper and make pulp out of it which is molded into the desired shapes using machinery then dried in sun or with heaters.”

The Sustainable Green Company is better for environment he tells Sulochana, as it replaces pollutants like thermocol and as no other chemicals are added it is safe for the environment.

“These products are used for primary and secondary packaging.  Many countries have been using such products already, but India his is only 4/5th industry manufacturing such products.”

Anyone can use renewable energy and that is why Sulochana hopes youth get inspired by this and help keep the environment clean and green. She hopes Goa continues to contribute in India’s recycling and environmental efforts.
