Residents of this village wade through slush and sewage to travel anywhere. There are no provisions for a drainage system here which means all the dirty water from various pipelines converges on the main road.

Upon talking to the Village Head, Community Correspondent Gayatri was told that no mapping has been done so far for the drains and that when funds have been allotted in past, some residents did not allow drains to be built as they went past their houses.

Gayatri however has come back with a promise that the drains will be built as soon as funds are allotted.

About the Partnership: The Poorest Areas Civil Society (PACS) Programme and Video Volunteers have come together to create the Community Correspondents Network.
