A few years ago, the village of Kantaguda, Lahunipada block of Sundergarh was overcome with great excitement when electricity poles were installed.
This tiny village is Odisha is home to 22 families living Below Poverty Line. More than 2 years later, they still have no electricity connection. They have submitted written applications to their Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Electricity Department but to no avail. They have not yet received a response.
