Aneesa Hamid

Aneesa Hamid is an activist and a Community Correspondent hailing from Kawapora village in Sumbal Bandipora, Kashmir.

She had a desire of working for the improvement of her society since she was a kid. Her first platform as a social rights activist was the Indo Global Social Service Society (IGSSS), an NGO working on several social issues in Kashmir. It was during the residential workshop for the promotion of social and community media where she was shortlisted and later on selected as a Correspondent for Video Volunteers. As a youth member with IGSSS, Aneesa has been working on issues related to human rights, the right to information act and domestic violence.
