Anupama Das

As a child, Anupama Das from Kakrajhar district, Assam witnessed a friend lose her life just because she spoke a different language. It was an incident that, in her own words, made her a ‘rebel’. For long she witnessed the people around her turning against each other in the name of religion, language, creed and caste. She noticed the women in the community suffering mutely against the bloodshed. Anupama’s camera is the eye that captures all those in her community who want to speak out against these mindless, endless atrocities.
