Shah Faisal is a Community Correspondent for Video Volunteer's Bihar Unheard team and an important pillar at hyper-local news platform Main Media. Faisal is using alternative media to bring attention to problems faced by people in rural Bihar. He has been successful in using media effectively to put pressure on authorities and get long pending issues resolved. He is training youths in Mobile Journalism (MoJo). He is also a part of Change Chitra program run by Video Volunteers and US Embassy. ‘Open Defecation Failure’, a documentary made by Faisal’s team brought forth the harsh truth of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project – Swacch Bharat Mission.
