These are everyday scenes at a Railway Station in Kotmi Sonar village, which has a population of 3,350 people. Many people come to this station as it is a place of local tourist interest. Without railway announcements or proper provisions, the people who come to this station have to face a lot of inconveniences. The rail connectivity in Chattisgarh is far below the national average and the state government has been recently pouring funds to double the distance covered by the rail network. But what is the use of doubling the rail distance if the existing stations are going to be left in such deplorable conditions? There is an urgent need for railway announcements in this station so that accidents can be avoided.
